We had a nice Thanksgiving at Papagug’s. Papa, Gaga, Gigi, Uncle Eric, Uncle Jason, Daddy, Mommy, and Asher were there. After dinner, Asher decided to try on Gaga’s shoes. He liked the sound they made as he walked across the floor. (video)

The Things Asher Says
Today at Papagug’s Tiger was behind the bar (probably hiding from Asher). Asher saw him and said “Tiger get out of the booze isle!”
Corn Twirls
Asher discovered corn twirls this weekend and loves them. He calls them cown coiwls. (video)
Date Night
Daddy and Mommy went out for the evening while Asher stayed at home with Uncle Eric and Miss Caroline. Uncle Eric spoiled Asher by bribing him with “Daisy Cutter” to eat his chili.
Asher helped Mommy get ready by trying on her shoes. He does not quite have it down how to wear heals. When she tried on one dress he gave her a hug and said Mommy look cute. The next dress he gave her a big hug and said Mommy look beautiful.
Day two
Asher’s second day of school went better. Miss Loretta said he did better today, but still cried some. They went outside again, and he played on the slide and in a tunnel. He said he also played with balls and that school was “good.” He asked to go back again tomorrow. Gaga picked him up today. She said he was upset Mommy didn’t get him. Hopefully next Wednesday goes even better.
School
Today was Asher’s first day of school! Asher will start with two half days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays). He had to eat breakfast before school instead of drinking his milk and watching cartoons. He had strawberry waffles and peachsauce.
After getting ready he read a book with Daddy and Mommy.
He was really excited on the way, but as soon as he got to his classroom door he put the brakes on. Mommy took him in to see Miss Loretta and he eventually went to read some books and played with cars. When it was time for Mommy to go he gave her a hug and kiss and continued playing. He was looking at the cars and tried really hard, but his bottom lip started to quiver and the tears began. When Mommy left he was holding Pooh blankey and giving Miss Loretta a hug.
When Mommy arrived to pick him up at noon he was sitting at the table while the other kids were on the rug listening to story time. He was paying attention because there was a moon on one page and he got super excited. Miss Loretta mentioned he has an obsession with moons. Since they went out to play, they were running a little late so Mommy and Asher stayed to have lunch. They had eggs, pancakes, pineapples (Asher had oranges instead), and milk. While eating he turned to Mommy and said “Asher cried. Asher missed Mommy today at school.” 🙁 Miss Loretta said he did cry from time to time and ask for Mommy but settled down when told she would pick him up after eating lunch.
On the way to Papagug’s Asher said he had fun and wanted to go back tomorrow. Hopefully that’s a good sign! Haha. He was almost asleep by the time we got to Papapgug’s which is less than ten minutes away.
Busy day for him because he has his last swim lesson in this session tonight. We will see how tomorrow goes!
Well, during bath time Asher asked for Miss Loretta. Mommy is hoping that is a sign of an easier day on him tomorrow!
Movie Night
Tonight Asher, Daddy, and Mommy had their first movie night! We pulled out the futon and had popcorn and milk in our jammies while watching Monsters, Inc. Asher really enjoyed it. He made it through most of the movie (to when Mike and Sully meet the Abominal Snowman). At that point he started talking nonstop (which means he was trying to keep himself awake) about having movie night and eating all the popcorn.

Prior to movie night, Asher, Daddy, and Mommy went to the zoo for a short visit.
And flew a kite for the first time!
Toddler bed
Asher decided that it is time to sleep in his white bad at Papagug’s. Gaga watched for a lit under the door for little feet on the ground and only saw them afew times. He wanted to put his stuffed animals in his pack and play instead of in bed with him. When he woke up Gaga said he was still in his bed when she got him. He’s growing up so fast! Next week he starts school (two half days a week).
Swimming
Asher started swim lessons with Grant on October 21st. He really enjoys swimming on Mondays and Wednesdays. This session Asher has decided to walk across the pool instead of swim. In order to try something different, Daddy went in the pool instead of Mommy. At first Asher was not having it and would not go in.
Eventually he was ok and decided to start swimming.
Each lesson when Asher decides he does not want to swim anymore, the infamous “Opata” comes to the rescue. He has recently decided to tell us that the opata has eyes, cheeks, mouth, tentacles, wings, and a butt.
Grant has been trying to “trick” Asher into floating on his back but has not been successful yet. Maybe by the time Papagug’s pool opens he will be buoyant and floating on his back.
