No People Allowed Today

Mommy and Daddy had their first wine and beer tasting party for friends at their house Saturday night.  Asher was very concerned because he was spending the night at Gram and Grandpa’s for the first time and also because people were going to be at the house and he could not monitor them.  He decided that he needed to make a sign for his bedroom door and my bedroom door.

At least he was being polite about it!

He did enjoy staying at Gram and Grandpa’s house.  They decorated the Christmas tree and watched some episodes of “The Curse of Oak Island.”  He was very intrigued and learned about caverns among other things.  When Gram asked him why he like the show he said “It had a lot of facts in it.”

On Sunday morning it snowed.  Since Gram had a pinched nerve in her neck, Grandpa got the joy of going out to play in the snow with Asher.  They had a great time playing and shoveling the driveway.  Shoveling the driveway was so much fun that when we got home he immediately said our driveway and sidewalk needed shoveled. Luckily he was hungry and he forgot about it later, and KareKondo (one of the bonuses of living on the street we do – lawn care, shoveling, weeding, etc. not our problem) took care of it before he got up on Monday.

Fingers According to Asher

So one of Asher’s girlfriends, Ellie, drew him an “epic” picture at school today.  She drew a picture of Darth Vader and Kylo Ren playing together.  There are black dots under each of their bodies between their legs which he informed me are their butts – that’s what makes the picture epic (I will try to remember to get a photo of the picture that is now hanging on his wall).  Darth Vader has several fingers on each hand.  Ash said he will “have to show Ellie how to make hands at school tomorrow since you know there are only five fingers on each hand.  The pinky, the one next to that, the longest, the almost longest, and the thumb.”  I think my favorite might be “the one next to that!”
