We went to our annual trip to Munroe’s Farm for apple and pumpkin picking (raspberry season is over due to a poor crop this year).
Asher seems to be doing pretty well in Mrs. Tonelli’s class! He still has to work on that whole keeping quiet and paying attention thing!
Asher’s homework is getting more difficult. Today the new word list came home and we started working on the homework. Our routine is he reads the word (or Mommy says it), then not looking at it he spells it, and then he writes it on the homework page or in his composition notebook. The words are progressively getting more difficult. This is the first week where the spelling of the words has really challenged Asher. This week’s words include clock, block, forgot, apricot, blacktop, etc. We get to forgot and he says “Oh, these are words that have solar bolts.” Huh? “You know when you clap out the solar bolts.”
Solar Bolts = syllables 🙂
