This past week has not been the best in our household. Our furnace stopped working and Mommy contracted the flu. Asher has really stepped up to help take care of things around the house and make sure Mommy is taken care of. He has checked on the furnace to make sure it continues to run properly (the new motor that was installed came cracked and is sealed and rigged to work until the new, new one comes in). He has cleaned up the living room and kitchen, taken out the trash, and gotten the mail. He has made himself and Mommy breakfasts, lunches, and helped with dinners. He has made sure Mommy has stuff to drink, blankets, stuffed animals, reading materials, snacks, activities, and company. He made the decision to sleep in his sleeping bag on the floor of her room just in case she needs something in the middle of the night. There are times that he has been frustrated and rambunctious because normal activities are not occurring, but that has been few and far between. If this consideration of others, willingness to help, and thoughtfulness continues, Asher, you are going to be one heck of an adult that will make anyone proud. Love you!
